Pet Medical Diagnosis
Diagnosis means a sign or abnormality that gives an indication of everything not being fine with the animal. The diagnosis is an indication of some sickness. Some of the indicators are as follows.
- The discharge from the eyes nose and other openings of the body is abnormal
- the appetite is lost
- the water consumption becomes excessive
- There is marked gain or loss in the weight
- The waste elimination is abnormal, difficult and uncontrolled
- the behaviour becomes abnormal,
- the animal becomes lethargic
- the lumps are abnormal
- the animal finds it difficult to walk or even get up
- biting or liking of any part of the body
- Vigorous shaking of the head
- excessive scratching
- open sores
- loss of hair
- bad breath.
Diagnosis for cancer: The Diagnosis of cancer includes circumstantial proof from, blood tests, x-rays, physical signs and biopsy. Biopsy involves the removal of the piece of tissue and its medical examination
Diagnosis for Lyme Disease: The diagnosis of this disease involves recognition of the symptoms that are typical and indicating Lyme disease and blood test. In the early stages of the presence of the disease the blood test may give negative results. Usually it is in the later stages that the blood tests confirm the animal to be suffering from Lyme disease.
Diagnosis for taxoplasmosis: The diagnosis of this disease can be done by having the blood tested for taxoplasma antibodies.
Diagnosis for Rabies: The diagnosis is difficult. One of the symptoms for this disease is the inability to swallow. The animal behave strangely and becomes short tempered. The direct fluorescent antibody test which is also known as dFA is a thorough diagnostic test for Rabies. This test has to be performed on the brain tissues of the dog and so the dog has to be euthanized.
If the pet is vomiting frequently and suffering from diarrhoea then there is gastro intestinal disorder.
If the skin and the coat of your pet has become lustreless, and there are sores then the animal is suffering from skin infection or this may an indication of the pet being infested with lice and mites.
When the dog’s nose is hot and dry the symptoms indicate the dog to be suffering from fever.
Too much of water consumption by the pet is a symptom of diabetes or abnormality in liver or kidney.
