Pet Health Care

Pet health care is about keeping the pet healthy. Precaution is better than cure. One needs to be care while keeping a pet.  A bit of carelessness on your part can prove to be fatal for the pet. Diagnosis: A happy pet is a healthy pet. If there is something   physically and physiologically wrong with the pet it is going to be obvious by the way it behaves.
Precautionary measure: Each and every pet needs to be physically examined by the veterinary doctor at regular interval. The pet has to be regularly vaccinated.

Some of the medical services usually recommended for cats and dogs are  as follows:

  • Vaccination for Rabies
  • Neutering of the males and Spaying of the females
  • Deworming is required when the internal parasites especially the worms go beyond certain limits.
  • Regular visit to the clinic of the veterinary doctor is necessary.
  • In cats Tests and vaccination for diseases such as Chlamydia, Rhinotracheitis, Feline

Distemper (Panleukopenia), Calici, Feline Leukemia is necessary.

  • In dogs tests and preventive measures have to be taken with reference to Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Distemper, Leptospirosis, Coronavirus, and Heartworm

The other healthcare tips are as follows :

  • The pet should be provided with as much balanced diet as is necessary.
  • Never allow the pet to over eat because this could lead to obesity and consequently a number of diseases related to obesity.
  • The water that the pets drink should be cool and clean void of any pollutants.
  • The pet should be made to exercise regularly so that the excess of fat get dissolved. Exercise burns of excess of calories.
  • The pets should be treated and trained kindly but never rudely.
  • The pet should be provided with proper housing and shelter because the harsh environment can cause harm to the pet.
  • The movement of the pets should be confined to only certain areas only.
  • Provide entertainment to the pet so that it remains active and happy.
  • Visit the veterinary clinic regularly
  • Extra care needs to be taken in case of baby animals. The baby animals may be cute but for their survival one has to take a lot of pains.
  • If the pet need grooming do it regularly
  • Take care that the pet does not feel isolated
  • Everyone in the house should be taught interaction with the pet.

The more the care you take of the pet the more is the lifespan of the pet.
